When dawn breaks over the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Western
Maryland hamlet of Smithsburg, the aroma of freshly baking croissants and sweet
rolls, laced with the tang of cinnamon and spices, welcomes the new day.
Since 1980, the DeHaan family has owned and operated Hadley Farms Bakery in this
idyllic small town.
Three generations of the DeHaan family work with nearly 80 dedicated
employees to produce a full-service line of bakery products for the food
service, fundraising and retail markets.
Achieving sales in excess of 9 million dollars annually, Hadley Farms remains
relatively small in the baking industry, allowing us to handle accounts of all
sizes in a personal yet professional manner. Our research and development
department works in partnership with our customers to meet their specific needs.
New products, customized packaging and specialized labeling are among the
personalized services Hadley Farms provides.
Determination, hard work, flexibility and the willingness to meet the demands
of an ever-changing market have earned Hadley Farms high standing and respect

Hadley Farms has maintained an excellent safety record in the food industry. Our
production facility operates under the HACCP program and the HACCP plan is
constantly reviewed to insure compliance.
